We Still Believe

That the Holy Spirit works exclusively through the Word and Sacraments, and never apart from the Word and Sacraments.

That forgiveness of sin comes to us only through the Means of Grace, the merits of Christ crucified received through faith.

That the canonical Scriptures are the inspired, infallible, and inerrant Word of God.

That the Book of Concord is a correct exposition of the Scriptures (a quia subscription to the Book of Concord).

That the historic liturgy and unaltered ecumenical creeds (Apostles, Nicene, Athanasian) glorify the Holy Trinity, so that we worship Him "in the beauty of His holiness."

That translations of the Bible do make a difference in what we teach and how we believe and practice. Therefore, we use the King James Version or the New King James Version of the Bible.
